History
Founded in 1996, Decision Economics is a pioneer in the area of independent, global, macroeconomic research to institutional and wealth managers. Before launching DE, Dr. Sinai spent over 13 years of his career as Head of Economics and Strategy at Lehman Brothers advising both institutional managers and the firms trading desks on the markets. Prior to Lehman he spent several more with noted Harvard Economist, Otto Eckstein pioneering new ways of thinking about the art and science of economies at Data Resources. As a function of those roles Dr. Sinai saw the significance of integrating an information systems approach to economic forecasting and interpreting complex domestic and international policies on a dynamic, evidentiary basis. He and the team believed then and now that they could only truly enable clients by bringing research findings and perspective in a timely and efficient method. DE is the solution. A highly consultative-interactive partnership with each client, understanding principally what clients do and thus what they need. In addition to Global Macro Research, in 2002, Decision Economics began offering clients a dynamic Asset Allocation Service and Weightings integrating the unique perspective of top down forecasts. Historical results against the S&P500 Benchmark highlight the timeliness, accuracy and value of the DE Global Market Research throughout a market cycle.
