Consumer Confidence: Labor Market Improvement

August consumer confidence exceeds expectations, rising 2.1 points to 92.4 (Consensus and DE: -2.4 points to 88.5) from a prior-month level revised down by 0.6 points. The present expectations index improved sharply, up 6.7 points to 94.6, while the expectations component fell 1 point to 90.9.
