Turkey: GDP Accelerates-Will Policy Change?
[private]Turkey’s real GDP expanded mightily in the last quarter of 2010 (3.6% quarter-on-quarter; 9.6% year-on-year, adjusting for working days). This is certainly above consensus expectations, but it cannot be said to be entirely surprising, since it is very coherent with both the known dynamics of the Turkish economy and with the (admittedly scant) high frequency indicators available.
