China: Landing–finally?

  • Except for a slight increase of the annual rate of industrial production growth , and a small reduction of the PPI’s deflation, the rest of the data released last night by China is a nearly perfect picture of stability.  Taken together with recent PMI and trade information, the numbers point for the first time in months to a possible leveling of the pace of real GDP growth, and a few glimmers of hope regarding the near-term future emerge.
