Consumer Confidence: Reassuring to Doves

The December Conference Board Consumer Confidence Survey met strong  expectations, with the headline index jumping 6.1 points (Consensus: +5.9 points; Decision Economics: +3.6 points), on a 2.7-point gain in the “present situation” component and an 8.3-point jump in the “expectations” component.
