FOMC Minutes: “Unwarranted Shifts” to be Avoided

FOMC Minutes of the July 30-31 meeting suggest that the voting group is finely balanced on the decision to taper, with the range of views apparently bracketed by a “few” who emphasized patience and further analysis of the economy before any changes, and another “few” thinking “it might soon be time to slow somewhat the pace of purchases.”
