Consumer Confidence
[private]The headline March Conference Board Consumer Confidence index meets expectations, falling 1.4 points (Consensus: -0.8 point; Decision Economics: -1.7 points) from a prior-month level revised up by 0.8 point.
As has been the case often lately, the headline movement reflected much bigger offsetting moves in the component indexes–this time, with the present situation reading up 4.6 points and the expectations index down 5.4 points.
