Consumer Sentiment continues climb with positive

The University of Michigan Consumer Sentiment index rose to 75.3 (Consensus: 73, Decision Economics: 73.7) from 72.5 mid-February, on improved attitudes towards both current economic conditions as well as future economic outlook. The economic conditions component, which asks consumers to compare their current economic situation with that of a year ago, increased 3.4 points to 83.0. The forward-looking economic outlook component also made modest gains from mid-February, posting a 2.3 point rise to 70.3.
