Shifting Labor Force Dynamics—A Stronger Economy?
The September labor market (Fri., Oct. 7) was much firmer than suggested by the headline figures of 156,000 new Nonfarm Payroll jobs and the rise in the unemployment rate to 5%.
Why? Because of shifting labor force dynamics which is suggesting a possible tilt to the upside for the economy and inflation.
