Weekly Sales: How softened?
Store sales in the fourth of five retail-June weeks show some further, cumulatively decisive, slowdown in both surveys–with ICSC/Goldman Sachs throwing in the towel and cutting their full-month comparable-stores estimate by 0.5 point, to +3.0% to +3.5% year on year, and Redbook falling a bit further short of their original target, finding month-to-date sales up 2.3% year on year, as against +2.5% last week and the +2.9% target.
